What is a SKU and what can it contain?

1 min read · Updated

A SKU is the code you use for a product in your store, for example RG-1042. Orolens uses it to keep products apart and to name your exported images.

Rules

  • Up to 64 characters.
  • Letters, digits, spaces and these symbols: - _ . / #
  • Must start with a letter or a digit.
  • Must be unique in your workspace.

If a SKU breaks a rule you will see: "SKU can use letters, digits, spaces and - _ . / #".

When you need it

  • A product needs a SKU and at least one photo to be ready for a batch.
  • A product needs a SKU to be marked Ready on the Listing board, because the export is organised by SKU.
