Why does every product need a type, and which types are there?

1 min read · Updated

The product type tells the AI what it is photographing. A ring is shot differently from earrings or a necklace, so the type decides the angles, poses and crops.

A batch cannot start while any product has no type. The New batch page shows "N products need a type before this batch can start".

Jewellery types you can pick

  • Rings: Solitaire, Band, Cocktail, Stackable, Adjustable, Couple / promise
  • Earrings: Studs, Hoops, Jhumka, Drops / danglers, Ear cuffs
  • Necklaces: Chain, Choker, Pendant necklace, Layered
  • Pendants
  • Bracelets: Chain, Cuff, Tennis, Charm
  • Bangles / Kada
  • Anklets / Payal
  • Nose pins
  • Toe rings
  • Brooches
  • Sets: Necklace + earrings, Bridal set, Ring set

There are also non-jewellery types (watches, eyewear, bags, clothing and more). Batches only accept the jewellery types.

Set the type for many products at once: on Products, switch to the Table view and edit the type column. Or use the No type filter to find the ones that are missing.
